Damir Doma_Flagship Store Paris_July 2012

This month see’s Damir Doma opens his first Parisian boutique, sharing the same courtyard as Comme des Garcons. The truly incredible space designed by Australian architect Rodney Eggleston, perfectly captures the spirit of the brand through raw marble, starkly contrasting hues and a considered use of mirrors.

The store reflects Doma’s aesthetic vision, a combination of polished and raw surfaces and materials. A layered staircase in travertine marble blades leads shoppers into the store, whilst concrete walls very much remain in their original state. The expansive ceiling has been reworked with hand-finished verdigris mirrors, but the sparkle is subtly toned down by herringbone parquet flooring and matte brass fixtures.

Damir Doma, 54, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, 75001 Paris, GS.
